  Haven’t been there in years and decided to go back as all of our past experiences with Aztec in Coolangatta were very good! We were placed at a table and they gave us our menus but it felt like that the staff forgot about us and when we made Eye contact for one of them to come serve us they would just walk away and ignore us, also the staff there are all very young and look like they don’t want to be there. My partner had to get up and ask for someone to serve us and we had to wait another couple of minutes however all the young girls were at the front talking. We then ordered food and the waitress was a bit rude and we ordered 2 beef nachos and 2 drinks and they ended up bringing our nachos out but forgot to put beef on them so it was just beans and never brought our drinks out. As we paid for our food we went up and let the lady know that we didn’t get our drinks or the meat on our nachos and she told us that the order didn’t say we asked for beef when we clearly did, she never apologised for the inconvenience which I thought was very unprofessional. Very sad that this place has turned into this the staff used to be great a couple years back.

  We use to go to the Atzec at Forster and it was 5 stars hence we came to the one at Coolangatta. Terribly under staffed and the food was very average. The 1 star is for the excellent Margarita. Next to no meat in the dishes and our booth booking was given to someone else. Cmon guys pick your game up.

  Food was pretty good but the service was very rude. Also added 10 sour creams to our order which no one ordered which were $3 each and then expected us to pay for them. Nice try cheeky buggers

  I have been going to the Aztec since I was a kid & it was at Showcase. It’s still the best Mexican hands down in SEQ. We drive from Brisbane to eat the beef enchilada & the amazing salad! Thanks guys you’re all champs!

  This place is expensive and terrible. About the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The meat tastes and look dubious, the food is bland, the quality of ingredients is poor, and then some things are just random (parmesan cheese on a salad in a Mexican restaurant..... what?). PLEASE save your time and money and taste buds, and AVOID!
